The set-up tasks to get you started in HubSpot and common "How-to's"

Set-up in HubSpot

Action Reason
Knowledge-base publishing

If you do not have publishing rights for knowledge-base and you need them - contact the system administrator.

Access knowledge-base when in HubSpot by

Service ➡️Knowledgebase ➡️Article

From there you can either select an article to edit or Create Article

Link Hubspot and Gmail

Enables HubSpot features in gmail - Including email templates, control of logging, use of snippets, ability to insert knowledge base articles and documents easily into emails.

Turns on a side-panel that can be viewed within gmail to show HubSpot data for the email you are viewing. eg tickets, deals, contact info, timelines etc.

Enables meeting links to be sent for people to book meetings based on your availability. Syncs contact activity for a complete customer view. Works for individuals and teams.

Enables you send a meeting link to customers, and add to your signature block.

 Enables single-click calling from the HubSpot platform and the nomination of a call-back number. 

Set-up how you get notified by HubSpot

Defaults can be noisy. We suggest you scale them back.

If you have the HubSpot Window open all day the web notifications are very useful.

Sales - the app is useful for priority notifications, responding while in the field and contact calling.

If you want to use video screencasts or personal videos to support customers then set this up. In an email, or conversations window, select

Insert ➡️Video 

and follow the instructions, which include how to create a free Vidyard account.

The video creation process works better when using the browser extension.
